Curriculum

The Junior School programme is designed to enable a child to develop and consolidate the language skills of reading and writing, together with those of mathematics, in a progressive manner. Children are expected to perform at their maximum capacity within the context of fluid groups which alter as skills are mastered.

The principal aim of the Primary programme is to develop competency in literacy and numeracy alongside the development of social and learning skills.

French is taught from grade Primary. During the early years, the emphasis is on oral language, with written and grammatical skills being introduced as the students become ready for them.

A shared reading program is conducted between children in grades Primary and Three, One and Four and Two and Five.

Other subjects included in the curriculum are History, Geography, Science, Music, Health, Art, Library and Computer Education. Grades One to Six have regular weekly classes in the computer lab. Physical Education is taught throughout the Junior School at every level.
