The award was established in 2010 to recognize the qualities of humanity, empathy, ethics, respect for the dignity of others and/or service to others. Students apply for the award by presenting a case for a humanitarian leadership opportunity. This could be through an existing organization, or a project of their own design. This year's winner is Stephanie Robertson-Kempton, a Grade 11 student who feels passionately about supporting the Cambodia Arts and Scholarship Foundation.
